We had so much fun in the garden today. We planted potatoes, fennel and wildflowers. Our senior classes planted more vegetables and herbs also. We will have a very impressive garden in a few short months. Make sure to visit and see for yourselves!
Thank you to everyone who supported our Family Quiz in the Pier Head Hotel on Sunday 2nd April. As always, we are extremely grateful to our wonderful Parents’ Association for organising the event. Well done to the winners on the day. Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir!
We planted seeds with Ms. Longworth. We planted tomatoes, cauliflower, lettuce and wildflowers. We will take it in turns to water our seeds and watch them grow.
Our Junior and Senior Infants were delighted to meet Meccano today. Made by Eva and Roan with help from Dad, it took hard work and concentration and almost one month to make Meccano. The talking, dancing, joking robot was very popular among our pupils. Well done Eva and Roan, a fantastic achievement!
Bhí lá iontach againn i rith Seachtain na Gaeilge. Ghlac na páistí páirt i gceolchoirm agus bhí an-chraic againn ag an céilí sa halla. Bhí tráth na gcéist ag rang Mr. McTiernan um tráthnóna. Bhain gach duine taitneamh as an lá. Maith sibh go léir!
We enjoyed a visit from Garda Pat Gallagher this week. We learned about the Garda uniform and utility belt, and asked lots of questions about Garda Pat’s job. We even got to try on a real Garda hat!
We had an arty day today. Second class made cotton wool sheep to decorate the church for their first confessions on Thursday. We all made crepe paper cherry blossoms. Aren’t they pretty?
